Glenda McLachlan - Fine Art

ARTIST STATEMENT

I feel that my role as an artist is to capture the uniqueness of Australian culture, through its beaches, icons, landscape, flora and fauna. The Australian spirit is something that is spoken into Australia's collective consciousness, and it comes through being at one with the environment and its natural abundant wild life and I want to recreate this on canvas for you through my own sense of fun, emotions & beliefs.

I share my vision of how I perceive things, with an aim to engage others to draw from and enjoy my view of this beautiful part of the world we call home.

It is my desire to encourage the viewer to appreciate and love the beauty of our natural surrounds and relish them in our homes and experience the joy that comes from seeing and sharing in the colorful enchantment of natural landscapes, seascapes, scenery, native animals and lovely birds of Australia.
